I can tell you it was worth it, nel senso che, although the exhibition is forcibly limited in space, among the works there was a certain propensity for risk, what you run when you go to explore challenging subjects and contamination of techniques. Those who follow this blog he already knows of my admiration for those who dare, obviously if he does it without seeking applause, but only for the spirit of artistic adventure.
I imagine that the title of the exhibition implicitly contained an invitation to Treviso people to go and look for traces of that style in their city, elements that have been suffering for too long, suffocated by a building that disrespects all forms of beauty and condemned to become sterile museum testimonies, be it a small artifact or an entire building.
About the definition "Liberty”, it is the result of a double misunderstanding.
The first lies in its genesis. The original name of this style which sprouted in Belgium and blossomed in France was "Art Nouveau”, then translated into Italian in "New Art" and also translated into "Floral Art". It then happened that the Liberty Stores in London, specialized in oriental art, began to propose objects to the public Art Nouveau, and thus the custom of defining everything that recalled that style with the name of the English importer became widespread, and in Italy the concise definition "Liberty"Soon replaced the initial one.

Technical note.
Purtroppo, for logistical reasons due to the restoration of the historic site of Ca 'da Noal, the exhibition was forced into a single rather dark and oppressive room, I would dare to say cloistered, of the Santa Caterina Museum, with limited spaces available, and unfortunately in those conditions the small camera that we brought with us showed all its limits.
