This outburst arises spontaneously after knowing that not even in the 2021 Prague Patchwork Meeting will be held, that manifestation that I had seen growing since 2008.
Meanwhile, time is running out, and once that is lost, emotions are also lost, incontri, expectations, delights, shows, and also the desire to create something beautiful is dampened. Depression looms, and only the embrace of a stubborn creative flywheel still allows me to take needle and thread in hand.
Allora, to share nostalgia with you, but with no hope of soothing it, I would have thought to add some pictures of Prague here, the memories of my previous travels, so you will have an inkling of what I am missing (and you are missing out).

Fui a Praga nel 1970; c’era ancora il paradiso comunista. Tutt’attorno alla città i carrarmati sovietici. La città era una desolazione.

immagino come doveva essere Praga a quei tempi, la vittima sacrificale della guerra fredda, perché il socialismo dal volto umano irritava i sovietici, ma ancor di più spaventava l’occidente, il quale temeva l’appeal dell’immagine dei comunisti che non mangiano i bambini.
Ora il paradiso comunista non c’è più, però si profila all’orizzonte il paradiso capitalista, sicuramente più colorato ma non per questo meno disumano.

Avendo sempre evitato i viaggi organizzati, sono riuscita a scoprire da me aspetti di Praga e della Boemia inconsueti e sfuggenti. Non sono mai stata a Praga ,so però da chi è stato che è magica e per chi l’ha visitata penso sia indimenticabile ,per me con questo giro fotografico è un viaggiare non solo con foto ma con le tue emozioni grazie Rossana .
Ps: onorata di averti conosciuta di persona ,l’impressione è stata di un’amica che conoscevo da sempre ,una bella persona !!

In effetti Praga ha un’atmosfera particolare, però per apprezzarla veramente bisogna saper andare oltre i clichè turistici, il che esclude ogli forma di tour organizzato, anche a costo della comodità.
